I made this little medallion (pendant) to practice using beads and also to design something I could put behind a button and be used as a lapel pin. I'm pleased with the result. The button has a shank on the back and I used a button pin to go through the button. The button pin is a small curved safety pin designed to hold a button onto a piece of clothing when one has no time to sew it on. In this case, I wouldn't want to sew on the button but use it as a pin.
As a crafter I'm primarily a quilter and a tatter. You'll occasionally find crochet, knitting and sewing (other than quilting). This blog will be a way to post and display projects both in progress and finished.

Jan's quilt
.jpg)
This little miniature quilt is for my friend Jan. It is appoximately 12" x 15". The 9 patches were from a mini 9 patch exchange through Block_Swappers Yahoo Group. They are 3" 9 patches. There is a rod pocket on the back of this little quilt so that it can be used as a wallhanging. Small buttons are stitched in the center of each plain block. This was lots of fun to make.

Motif #25
This is the last of my motif challenge. This motif is a beaded snowflake pattern designed by Sharon Briggs. uses two different sizes of beads which were loaded onto both of my two shuttles.
I was quite slow getting this challenge completed but I'm glad that I did it. I learned a lot and got more comfortable using the various techniques.
