Candy cane

This little candy cane measures approx. 1.5" x 2.25" and is made with 6 strands of embroidery floss. Using the shoelace trick to manipulate the threads, I was able to have alternating colors on every other ring and chain. The pattern for this is in Patti Duff's Minitats book. I've made several of these to use as pins or tree ornaments. Not the small threads I normally work with but it's a quick, easy pattern. Looks cute too.
