Beaded snowflake

I finished this little snowflake this week and I think I'll most certainly make more using this pattern. I revisited my DMC Festive Tatting book with the use if beads in mind. This is motif 16. I used size 12 perle cotton and seed beads. I put 6 beads on each of the long picots on round 1. The blue thread shows darker than it really is. I think it was trying to blend in with the background. Thread sometimes has a mind of it's own, you know.

I think I've made this snowflake before but not with beads. The beads certainly add visual interest as well as making the motif have some sparkle which is good for a tree ornament. That's what I'll do with this.

I love how this turned out! The thread and bead placements are perfect! I would not have recognized the pattern from the book!

I am very impressed with all your quilts and tatting shown on your blog. You're a very talented and busy person!
