I have mostly fat quarters and very little yardage so my choices were quite limited. I started with the dark blue which has white and orange lines in it. Added a strip of white and a strip of orange, then continued selecting fabrics I thought would work. This little quilt is certainly taking me beyond my comfort level as it is quite different from what I would normally put together but so far I really like it.

This may be outside your comfort zone but it is going to be very pretty. I love the color combinations.
