This is a little doll quilt is something I put together today. The star block with it's dark brown border was one of several orphan blocks that were given to me. It was an 18" block. So I added a scrap strip of fabric I had to the top and bottom making it measure 18"x 24". The backing is white fleece with pastel colored circles all over. The fleece backing is turned to the front and stitched with a scallop stitch and trimmed. The raw edges are left as they don't ravel and the scallop makes a nice decorative finish. I'm donating this to Toys for Tots.
