I finished this baby quilt (36 x 45") on Sat. I'm just now posting it because Sunday and yesterday were busy days as well as cloudy and rainy so it would have been harder to get a photo. This quilt will be donated to charity through my local quilt guild. It is backed with fleece.
As a crafter I'm primarily a quilter and a tatter. You'll occasionally find crochet, knitting and sewing (other than quilting). This blog will be a way to post and display projects both in progress and finished.

On My Design Wall
Decided it was time to get the Sharon quilt (a heartstrings project) done or at least started. Started it last night by cutting strips and sewing a few blocks.
I have mostly fat quarters and very little yardage so my choices were quite limited. I started with the dark blue which has white and orange lines in it. Added a strip of white and a strip of orange, then continued selecting fabrics I thought would work. This little quilt is certainly taking me beyond my comfort level as it is quite different from what I would normally put together but so far I really like it.

Black &White / Brights challenge
This month there has been a black & white / brights challenge on heart strings yahoo group. I would have guessed that I didn't have many blacks, whites or brights but did have. In fact, I could probably do another one - but not this month!
This was a fun quilt to do and went together quickly once I had the 2" strips cut.
