Scrap Basket Baby Quilt 2

I made 4 more scrap blocks to add to what I had left after making the previous scrap baby quilt, added some sashing (also from scraps) and cut some 2.5" squares from my novelty fabrics for the corners.  A new baby quilt top didn't take long to finish. Nor did the quilting after selecting a piece of fleece (pink this time) for the back.  I stitched in the ditch to anchor the top and backing, then stitched diagonally through all of the blocks.

This little quilt is a charity quilt and will be given to local charities by the quilt guild I belong to.

Scrap Basket Baby Quilt

I had a pile of scrap blocks just waiting to be used. These are 6" finished size blocks. So I decided to use them in a charity baby quilt. The quilt is done but - guess what?  I still have blocks that need to be used. Not quite enough for another baby quilt so next snowy day or when I need some easy sewing to do, I'll stitch up a few more blocks and make another baby quilt. I used novelty prints in the corners on the sashing and put fleece on the back. This is machine quilted on my home sewing machine. I now have 3 baby quilts to take to quilt guild for our charity baby quilt project. Maybe I need to keep going and do 1 a month.
