Last angel received

This is the last of my 2009 angels from the angel roundrobin. This was tatted by Maria. It's called Joyce's angel and is a pattern by Martha Ess. It now occurs to me that I didn't make an angel for myself and that often is a part of a roundrobin. So I will give some thought as to what I'll do and get one done. It won't get done and posted until next month as I'm vacationing until August. I promise myself to add another angel to this 2009 roundrobin collection. That will make 6 angels. The next thing will be deciding what to do with them. Frame them? Maybe a mini-quilt ?- 6 angel blocks would be nice. A mobile - only if all the angels were stiffened.

My angel for Eva

In reviewing my angel roundrobin photos, I believe that this angel didn't get posted. I made this angel for Eva. It is a Mark Meyers' pattern and uses #70 thread in varigated pink and also white. The gold is a rayon thread.

Angel from Dyan

This is the angel that I received this week, tatted by Dyan. Aren't the colors in the thread lovely? This is my 3rd angel, received from the 2009 angel roundrobin.

Another angel

You're viewing a photo of the angel I made for Eva in the angel roundrobin I'm in. The pattern is: Christina's Angel, designed by Mark Meyers. It is tatted with DMC #70 thread, colors #48 and #818, white and also a metallic looking silk thread I had. This lovely little angel is approximately 3" high. I'll be mailing it to Eva sometime this week.

Doily roundrobin completed!

What a lovely doily awaited me when I arrived home from vacation this week. My little center has turned into a beautiful tatted doily. All the ladies who added rounds to this doily did a beautiful job and now I have this completed doily to treasure. This is the work of 5 different tatters, myself included. This was a fun group to be in. Each one of the doilies was a joy to work on and even more enjoyable to get the finished doily back.

Completed Doily

This evening I put on the last stitches of my round on Jeanette's doily. I'll now get this in an envelope and ready to put it in the mail to Jeanette. She tatted the center and three others had added a round before I received the doily. Mine is the 5th (counting the center as #1) round on this doily. This was made with size 50 thread, a thread that I really enjoy using. It was fun to add this last round. This is the last doily for me to work on in this round robin. I'll be anxious to see what mine looks like when I get it back.

This is my round added to Anke's doily. I'll now send it along to Jeanette who will add the last round before mailing it back to Anke.

Anke's doily

Today I received Anke's doily in the mail. This is the next doily in our tatted round robin group. Now I'll give some thought to what I might add to this pretty little doily.

Shawna's Center

I have received this lovely center from Shawna. It is now my challenge to add a new bit of tatting to it. I have until mid March to add something and get this in the mail to the next person.

Tatted Doily Round Robin

I am in a round robin with 4 other tatters. We'll be making 5 different doilies, one for each person. Each one makes a doily center and then sends it to the next person on the list. Each tatter in turn adds a new round to the doily. When the doily is complete, it is sent back to its owner.

Here is my center. This is made using #50 flora thread and the pattern is "Summer Posy" from Tatting 2000 Ring of Tatters.
