A finish - after a long break

After summer vacation time and a busy start on the school year, I am once again posting on my blog. I completed a baby quilt and in good time too because the baby shower isn't until the end of the month. No last minute rush on this gift! I used a piece of fleece on the back of this quilt top with no batting. I machine quilted using a decorative stitch and then turned the fleece over the top to finish. I used a scallop stitch along the edge of the quilt then trimmed the fleece, following the scallop stitches. This gave a nice scalloped look to the front edges (self binding) of the quilt. I was pleased with the result. This will be a gift for a friend at work. Quilt size is 36" x 45".
