The next photo shows the anniversary heart made for my friend Pam. She and her husband are celebrating 45 years of marriage this summer. I knew that 40 years was Ruby and 50 is Golden but I didn't know a color for 45. From the internet I found that 45 was Red Sapphire. Now I had a problem as all I could find out about red sapphire was that it was ruby. So what to do? I chose a red (DMC size 8, color 321 and then planned the placement of 45 seed beads (#408B from Bead Republic ). The heart pattern is "Small Tatted Heart" designed by Betsy Evans (1998 copyright). The chain is composed of split rings followed by a cloverleaf.
As you can see, I've been doing quite a lot of tatting recently. This isn't all but I don't have photos of other items. I'll post them soon.

Lovely heart! What pattern did you use? I know I have seen it somewhere before but I don't remember what it is...

I'm sure the recipents would be most pleased with your tatted gifts. Love the colours on the floral bookmark especially!
