Spiral knot stitch

Another technique the online tatting class will be studying Monday is the spiral knot stitch. This was completely new to me but it isn't difficult and it does add texture to the tatting. The interesting thing is that tatters often want their tatting to be smooth and flat but this technique adds a bumpy, textured look. It's a nice technique on this little flower pattern by Jennifer Williams.
