As a crafter I'm primarily a quilter and a tatter. You'll occasionally find crochet, knitting and sewing (other than quilting). This blog will be a way to post and display projects both in progress and finished.

Flowers and Vines bookmark
The most recent pattern and technique study for the Online Tatting Class is Ruth Perry's Flowers and Vines bookmark or bracelet. This uses the technique of over-tatting. The challenges for me on this project were the joins and keeping the chain smooth and even. The joins got easier as I went but I am still challenged by the chains but it's a new technique and I'm pleased with the completed project. It's a lovely pattern and I'll enjoy using this piece of tatting. I made this using size 30 DMC threads, choosing to make the long version so I can use it as a bookmark or a bracelet. I need now to look for ribbon to weave through the center.
