Cluny tatting

I decided yesterday to tat something with clunies in it. I located a pattern I had not tried before. It had several clunies but other than that, it was a simple pattern.  The link for this cluny pattern is:

Here's what I made from size 20 tatting cotton. 

I also decided to try it a different way. This doesn't have the negative space in it but makes a cute little star, nevertheless. 

This one is made from size 50 DMC thread. It will be put atop a miniature tree for which I'm making lots of tatted ornaments. (I'll post a photo when it's done.)
