As a crafter I'm primarily a quilter and a tatter. You'll occasionally find crochet, knitting and sewing (other than quilting). This blog will be a way to post and display projects both in progress and finished.
This little baby quilt with its 16 patches and 4 patches was made from 2" squares. It measures 36x45" and has fleece on the back. I'll turn it in to my quilt guild for distribution to a local charity.
Joyce, I love your design using the 16-patches. Do you mind if I use that idea for one of mine? I've made 5 quilts using the 16-patch method so far, using various sized squares. My favorite is using 3.5" cut squares, because it makes a versatile 12" finished block. It is very addictive to me, and I'm picking out more fabrics & color combinations almost daily. I like your Sharon quilt--mine is slowly coming together.
Of course, use the idea. It was a way to combine 4 patches with the 16 patches. If I'd been making the quilt for me, I'd have selected something lighter for the sashing. This used up that brown and it will make a comfortable quilt for some little boy.
